William joined Vivid Optical in September 2022 and brings more than 25 years of optometry experience to the practice. Born in Tamworth, NSW, he studied optometry in Brisbane before beginning his career in Adelaide, where he worked for several years. In 2005, William made the move to Tasmania, which he proudly calls home.

William believes Tasmania is a wonderful place to live and raise a family. Throughout his career in the state, he has cared for patients across Devonport, Launceston and surrounding regions. Passionate about helping people with their vision and eye health concerns, he enjoys meeting new people and taking the time to understand their needs. Whether it's recommending new glasses, exploring contact lens options, prescribing eye drops or arranging a specialist referral when needed, William is committed to ensuring every patient receives the best possible care.

Outside of work, William enjoys spending time with his children and supporting them in their pursuits. He likes keeping active, tinkering with gadgets and computers, experimenting in the kitchen and tackling DIY projects around the house. He also enjoys hitting the mountain bike trails and doing his best to keep up with his son.
